Shop
Set up a managed Shop, complete seller policies, prepare the storefront and check payment and delivery readiness.
Start with the setup sequence below. Use the linked catalog, customer, payment, email and booking guides for their detailed procedures. You remain the seller; OrbitPage provides the storefront and protected delivery.

Before you start
Open Site editor → Shop with a Shop-enabled plan and Shop editing permission. The gear button opens Compliance, Coupons, Checkout, Stripe, Email, Calendar and INFO. Buyers do not need dashboard access.
Hosted Stripe onboarding currently creates merchant accounts in Italy. Check the current plan and workspace allowance before uploading products.
- Save the seller details and policies in Compliance.
- Connect Stripe and verify its account and payment mode.
- Select Shop email; save and test custom SMTP if you use your own provider.
- Create a complete product, make it available and review its preview.
- Publish after the required review and complete the checks below.
Connect Stripe
Connect the seller account and finish verification before publication. Use the Stripe guide for onboarding, payment status, fees and refunds.
Fees and payouts
OrbitPage charges no commission on Shop sales. Stripe processing fees and payout rules apply.
Seller details and policies
Open Shop settings > Compliance to enter seller status, public seller name, email, optional phone, geographic address and applicable business identifiers. Seller footer text is optional plain text (up to 200 characters) shown below your seller name, for example Private seller. The OrbitPage seller notice appears in Terms with your hosted text or external terms link, instead of in the footer. Stripe verification does not populate this public seller profile for you. Leave Public phone empty to hide it from the OrbitPage Shop and new order emails; existing orders retain their saved seller details.
Save Compliance before connecting Stripe. A new connected account is prefilled only with the public email and phone you explicitly saved. Review any details Stripe proposes from another account during onboarding. Existing Stripe accounts are not overwritten when you edit Compliance.
Stripe Checkout, receipts and invoices use Stripe's separate, account-wide public details. Open Shop settings > Stripe > Review public details in Stripe, then Business > Business details > Public details > Edit. Keep the intended seller contacts consistent and turn off Show phone number on receipts and invoices when you do not want it displayed. OrbitPage cannot control this switch through its Stripe integration. Accounts shared with other shops or apps share these settings; bank statements and third-party receipts may follow different rules. See https://docs.stripe.com/receipts#customize-receipts.
Each of the six policies has Host in OrbitPage and External options. Host in OrbitPage shows a text box for writing or pasting the policy; External shows an HTTPS URL field. You can switch without losing the two drafts until Save. Save keeps the selected content; discarding unsaved changes restores the saved policy.
Hosted policies share one /shop/legal page with sections for Terms, Digital Product & License Terms, Privacy policy, Cookie policy, Refund policy, and Withdrawal and contact. Each policy has a Show in footer switch, on by default, with a tooltip recommending keeping it visible. Other than Terms, links require saved text or an external HTTPS URL. Hiding a footer link preserves the policy, legal page and applicable checkout links and acknowledgments. Terms always includes the fixed OrbitPage seller notice. Test every public policy link before sharing your Shop.
Shop settings > Stripe has a Secure payments with Stripe switch for that footer notice, on by default. Both policy visibility and the Stripe notice use Save and Reset. The preview updates immediately; Save updates the public Shop.
- You can save a partial profile and finish it later. Confirm seller responsibility using the checkbox before publication.
- Provide the disclosures and policies that apply to your business. The acknowledgment does not establish that your legal information is complete or waive customer rights.
Create a catalog
Create digital products or services, attach delivery files and choose the Shop currency in Shop catalog.
Appearance and publication
Click the title or introduction in the preview to edit both in one dialog, including font, size, weight and color. Save inside this dialog saves both tabs directly and updates an already published Shop; no second Save is needed. Other pending Shop changes stay separate. Each tab has Show/Hide to change visibility without deleting its text or styles. Empty fields also disappear from the storefront. The reset icon beside Color restores the Shop color. Click the logo or back link to edit them; the back link has a label only.
Personalize controls the layout, theme, colors and cards. The grid fills three columns when space permits, then two or one as its container narrows; the list layout stays in one column. Use the page theme disables separate Shop styling while it is active. Add Shop to Home adds a card opening the Shop from your main page. Newsletter signup requires the Newsletter compliance settings to be complete.
The receipt, delivery and Your purchases pages use your Shop's logo, colors, font and card style, including the public page theme when inheritance is enabled. Customers get visible Download buttons, order details, service instructions and appointment actions on desktop and mobile.
The shared Shop interface, Stripe Checkout, delivery, customer pages and appointment emails use English, including dates and prices, regardless of dashboard/browser language. Product descriptions, seller policies, custom field labels, questions and instructions stay in the language you write. External booking pages control their own language.
- Save your changes, make at least one complete product available, finish Stripe setup and confirm seller responsibility, then select Publish shop in the center of the top toolbar. In Settings and Orders/Customers it sits beside Back to shop. OrbitPage review must also be approved before first publication.
- Open the public Shop URL in a private window and check product details, policies and mobile layout. The storefront uses your page's /shop address, including an active custom domain when configured.
- Unpublish stops new storefront sales while keeping products, orders and customer records saved. Existing eligible purchases remain accessible: unpublishing is not a refund, erasure or access revocation. Hiding a product also preserves previous purchases. If Shop is your homepage, choose another homepage before removing it.
Checkout and immediate delivery
Checkout shows the seller's configured Terms, Privacy, Refund, Withdrawal and (for digital products) Digital Product & License policies. Customers must accept the seller's Terms when configured, acknowledge the seller notice, and explicitly consent to immediate supply for digital products. In Shop settings → Checkout, optional seller wording can be appended to the fixed seller notice and digital-delivery consent; the fixed acknowledgements remain visible and cannot be replaced.

Shop email
Choose Use OrbitPage email or Use custom SMTP in Shop settings → Email. Managed sending needs no seller SMTP credentials; Send test email is for custom SMTP. The SMTP guide covers sender selection, connection fields, tests and delivery failures. Shop and Newsletter have separate sender settings.
Replies to buyer emails go to the seller; seller notifications reply to the customer. The optional Reply-to is used when there is no specific reply contact.
Calendar and reminders
Add a booking link to a Service product. Configure the signed Cal.com webhook to synchronize purchased sessions and appointments; use the complete booking link delivered after payment.
Orders, refunds and customer erasure
Use the customer guide for verified checkout, signed access links, downloads, coupons, refunds and erasure. An export or page restore is not a refund or a way to reset delivery limits.
Managed Shop services
Shop uses Stripe Connect, managed private storage and either OrbitPage email or custom SMTP. OrbitPage manages infrastructure and payment webhooks. You manage seller verification, policies, products and customer support. Page backups and version history do not export or restore orders, customers, payment settings or private product files; contact support about commerce recovery.
Check readiness for live sales
Complete these configuration checks in your live workspace. Use only a separate test environment explicitly provided by OrbitPage for payment, discount and refund rehearsals. Do not simulate purchases or refunds in live mode; changing the view in Stripe Dashboard does not change your hosted Shop's payment mode.
- Confirm the intended connected account and live payment readiness in Shop → Stripe. Check bank details and payout requirements in Stripe Dashboard separately.
- Select the Shop email service. If using custom SMTP, save, send a test and inspect inbox/spam and sender identity.
- Review actual product prices, currencies, files or service instructions, seller contacts and every policy link. Hide fictional products and revoke test coupons.
- Complete the required review, publish, then open the public Shop in a private window and on mobile. Inspect Checkout without submitting a test payment.
- On the first legitimate live purchase, verify Orders, the customer's receipt, actual delivery and buyer/seller email. Follow the customer guide if confirmation or access is missing.
- For services, configure the calendar webhook and check the first legitimate booking. Rehearse rescheduling, cancellation and refunds only in the provided test environment.
Configuration and service status
Shop settings → INFO shows publication, Stripe readiness, email and calendar status. A saved booking link and an actually received signed webhook are separate checks. Refresh does not send mail or create a booking.
The Stripe panel refreshes when opened, when returning to the tab and every 30 seconds while visible. A failed check removes the ready indication until verification succeeds.
Troubleshooting purchases and delivery
Use the order reference when contacting the seller or support. Do not paste customer tokens, download/booking links, Stripe keys, webhook secrets or private buyer details into public posts. Review provider state before claiming that a payment, refund or appointment completed.
| Symptom | What to check |
|---|---|
| Cannot publish or start Checkout | Shop-enabled plan/permission, Stripe status, required review, seller acknowledgment, available products/files and the selected email service |
| Payment confirmation is waiting | Orders and Stripe payment state; pending/failed payments grant no delivery |
| Customer link expired | Open the still-valid receipt/delivery link for that order; otherwise contact the seller. Email alone cannot recover access |
| A purchase is missing | Open that purchase's recent link; an older token does not include future orders |
| Download unavailable | Refund/dispute/erasure, 30-day expiry and combined order download allowance |
| Email missing | Selected Shop email service, SMTP test, sender authorization, spam and provider logs; use the verified receipt meanwhile |
| Appointment missing | Complete paid-order booking URL, signed webhook/event triggers and remaining sessions; a generic provider test is not a paid booking |
