Backups and history

Export page content, restore selected sections, recover a published version and inspect unused media.

Backup provides portable exports and recovery tools for the selected page. Export before a large edit or cleanup. A page backup is separate from your account, subscription and commercial records.

Export content and images

Download a JSON backup of the page or select the sections you need: profile, content, theme, privacy, pages, menu and discovery settings. Enable Include images (ZIP) to create a portable archive for OSS and SaaS with the supported referenced images, then select Download selected. JSON is the default format.

JSON references to media are not a copy of every uploaded file. Keep the files you need alongside the export. Store backups privately: they can contain unpublished content and configuration.

Restore selected sections

Choose a supported backup and inspect its contents before restoring. Select the sections to replace; other page sections remain as they are. OrbitPage validates the imported content against current permissions and plan limits.

Dashboard restore saves a new revision and updates the public page. Export the current page first, then check the restored page, media, policy links and navigation. Shop orders, newsletter audiences, team membership and billing are not restored from a page backup.

Recover a published version

Open version history to inspect the retained published revisions available for your plan. Restoring one creates a new revision rather than erasing later history; dashboard restore updates publication.

A restore through the ChatGPT/MCP integration instead creates a private draft. Review it and explicitly publish the restored revision when it should become public.

Check unused files before deleting them

Use Check unused media to review stored files no longer referenced by the current page. Keep a backup before selecting Clean now. Older exported backups or retained versions can still refer to files you remove.

Cleanup frees workspace storage. It does not restore deleted media; keep a separate copy of files you may need again.

Export only the main-page blocks

The download and upload icons in Content operate only on the main-page block list. Importing links-export.json replaces that list and does not restore profile, theme, menu, subpages, privacy settings, accounts, or uploaded-file contents.

Use this small format to move a block layout between pages you control. Use Backup when the destination also needs referenced media or other application sections.
