Design a restaurant or bar QR menu that answers the guest's immediate questions, stays current and remains usable beyond the table.
A QR code is only a shortcut to the menu. The guest still needs to understand sections, prices, availability and relevant details without pinching a PDF or hunting through a social profile. The best table experience begins with the information people ask staff for most often.
Let guests recognize the place and find the right section.
Use a clear venue identity, readable section names and a short route to food, drinks or the current special. A generic button wall makes the guest solve the navigation before they can choose an item.
Keep reservation, hours and directions on the main public page. A table QR can point straight to the dedicated menu when that is the most useful destination.
Answer the questions that affect a choice.
A useful item name needs the right description, price and availability. Variants and allergen information should be present where relevant and maintained with the same care as the printed menu.
Structure helps scanning: sections and subsections should reflect how people order, not how the back office stores products. Short, consistent descriptions are easier to compare on a phone.
Make corrections part of service, not a redesign project.
