Custom domains
Connect a hostname you own, add the displayed DNS records, verify HTTPS and check the managed public page before sharing it.
Last reviewed 15 October 2026A workspace owner with a plan that includes custom domains can connect one hostname from Plan. Keep the domain registered with your DNS provider; OrbitPage handles the public page and certificate once verification succeeds.
Prepare the hostname
Open the intended workspace's Plan and check the custom-domain entitlement. Choose a hostname you control, such as links.example.com, and confirm you can edit its DNS. Enter the hostname without https://, a path or query string. Check existing website and mail records before replacing anything.
Copy the displayed DNS records
After connecting, copy the CNAME name and target shown by OrbitPage. Add the TXT ownership record and any TXT certificate records displayed for this connection. Use the exact values from your workspace; example values from another domain will not verify yours.
Leave DNS proxying disabled until activation. DNS providers differ in whether the Name field expects the full hostname or a relative label; check the resulting record and avoid appending your domain twice. Keep required mail records intact.
Verify ownership, routing and HTTPS
OrbitPage checks pending domains automatically. Use Check now after updating DNS and allow for propagation and certificate issuance. Pending or provisioning is not active. If an error appears, inspect its stated record or condition before removing and recreating the connection.
When the status is active, open the HTTPS address in a signed-out browser. Check the main page, enabled menu or subpages, images, internal navigation and consent behavior. Confirm the intended workspace is served.
Remove or change a connection
Use Remove in Plan when the hostname should no longer serve the workspace, then review DNS at your provider. Removing the connection does not cancel domain registration. Check the remaining OrbitPage public address and update shared links before relying on it. Review domain support before a plan downgrade.
