Self-hosting runs the public core, not the private SaaS.
The public OrbitPage project contains the editor and renderer. Managed multi-tenant accounts, billing, storage and guided domain operations belong to the hosted service.
Use self-hosting for an actual infrastructure requirement.
If the goal is only to connect a custom domain, managed Pro can do that without operating a server. Self-host when code inspection, infrastructure control or local operation justify the maintenance work.
