An open-source alternative to a hosted link profile
Inspect and self-host the MIT-licensed OrbitPage core, or use managed hosting built around the same page model.
Last reviewed 17 September 2026An open-source choice is about what code you can inspect and operate. OrbitPage publishes its application core under MIT; the hosted SaaS adds private account, storage and billing services.
The page builder and public renderer are in the public repository.
The open core includes the editor, blocks, themes and renderer. Hosted workspaces, managed storage, billing and domain operations are part of the separate SaaS platform.
MIT permits use and modification with its notice retained.
Read the repository license and inspect the code before adopting it. A public source repository does not by itself remove the work of operating an application.
Decide who will run updates, backups and the public address.
Self-host when infrastructure control is the requirement. Use managed OrbitPage when the main job is editing and publishing the page rather than maintaining its server.
