ChatGPT app and MCP

Connect ChatGPT or an MCP client to one workspace, review changes, publish revisions and revoke access.

Ultima revisione: 7 October 2026

The OrbitPage ChatGPT app connects to one approved workspace. It can read the page, prepare reviewed edits, publish and recover retained versions. Your connection's permissions and the workspace plan still apply.

Add OrbitPage to ChatGPT

Open the OrbitPage listing in ChatGPT and follow its connection flow. Sign in on OrbitPage, select the workspace and review the requested permissions before approving.

Use the connected OrbitPage app in your conversation. Availability and installation controls depend on your ChatGPT account. Never paste your OrbitPage password, API token or recovery codes into a prompt.

Review, apply and check publication

Ask the app to read the current page and capabilities, then describe your change. Review its proposal before approving. Applying an approved preview publishes by default; explicitly request a private draft if that is what you want.

Publishing an existing draft requires its exact revision. Ask for publication status after a write and open the public page to check it. Restoring a retained version creates a new private draft; review and publish it separately.

  • Example: “Read my page and suggest a shorter introduction. Show me the proposal first.”
  • Example: “Preview a calmer theme while keeping all my links and text.”
  • Example: “Show the retained versions and prepare the selected one as a draft.”

One connected page

The app edits supported profile, social, block and theme fields. Media uploads, additional pages, menus, analytics, teams, newsletters, Shop, billing and domains remain in the dashboard or the broader Automation REST API.

Switching workspaces in your browser does not change the connected workspace. Revoke the connection under Team → Connected apps and connect again to choose another.

Remote MCP

A compatible MCP client can connect to https://orbitpage.com/mcp using the OAuth sign-in and workspace approval flow. It exposes get_workspace, get_page, get_page_capabilities, preview_page_changes, apply_page_changes, publish_page, get_publication_status, list_page_versions and restore_page_version.

The connection is tied to the approved workspace and scopes. Role, plan and revision checks also apply outside ChatGPT. A personal REST API token is not the credential for this OAuth connection.

Preview-only WebMCP

In compatible browsers, the signed-in dashboard can expose tools for reading the page, reading capabilities and previewing changes. WebMCP cannot apply, publish or restore a page. Preview requests use the normal AI allowance.

Browser support varies. The regular editor works without WebMCP; use ChatGPT or another remote MCP client for the approved page-write workflow.

Reconnect or refresh the proposal

If access is missing, check the approved workspace, your current role and the connection's permissions. Reconnect after revocation or an expired grant. If a revision changed, read the latest page and prepare a new preview.

A successful proposal is not proof of publication. Check the reported publication state and revision before sharing the result. The connected AI service processes content returned by approved tools under its own terms.
